Purpose

The FCAT Explorer was an interactive online app designed to help students with Reading Comprehension. Each course had a specific theme.

Galactic Library

Depict a crew of anthropomorphic alien animals in space. Their adventures would teach reading skills to students.

The crew members would go on perilous missions to capture reading globes that contained stories to be read by the students.

Reading Odyssey

Depict a crew of anthropomorphic alien animals in space on vacation. While touring different worlds, their adventures would teach reading skills to students.

The idea was to create wacky half animal vehicles and strange animal aliens. A half rabbit/winnebago (rabbit-bago), a submarine, shark with webbed feet (Shark-marine), an alien wombat.

Reading Boardwalk

Depict a boardwalk/amusement park that students could discover reading assignments at different attractions.
