The project was a reading comprehension flash program for 4th graders.
They wanted a light science fiction, fantasy feel so working with a team of subject matter experts and writers we came up with these animals and their vehicles. The 4th graders would journey with the animals by reading and correctly answering questions.
These are the initial sketches for the fantasy vehicles. The instructions were to create fun, whimsical, vehicles that were part machine, part animal.
These are the three finished, colored vehicles. The "Rabbit-Bago", the "Duck-Marine" and the "Birdy-Blimp".
This is the "Rabbit-Bago" and RV merged with a rabbit. This was a fun concept for children.
This is the inside of the "Rabbit-Bago". The user would have this point of view as they went to different destinations in the program.
This is the user interface. The user can access animated clips, music, maps and other functions here.
These are the animals who go on the adventure. Just like their vehicles, the animals had to be strange variations.
